We are also responsible for sustaining and improving the environment in which we function.

We are committed to having a positive impact on the lives of people and improving the sustainability of the planet through our products and practices.

Governance:

Our ESG program is overseen by our Board of Directors through its Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee
The program is implemented by a cross-functional ESG committee with membership from across the company’s functions. 
Selected members of the ESG committee oversee the company’s environmental sustainability efforts through sub-committee.

Practices & Policies

Environmental Sustainability
Our environmental sustainability statement is a constant guide for us as we look for ways to provide technology solutions towards sustainability goals of our customers as well as aiming to operate our business in ways that continue to reduce our environmental impact.
Occupational Safety & Health
This global commitment emphasizes our endeavors towards occupational safety and health. Employee well-being and a safe and healthy work environment is important to us. In a traditional office environment, we believe all employees share the responsibility for maintaining such an environment.
Human Rights
Our global human rights policy sets forth our commitment to respecting human rights and freedom as part of our corporate values. We support globally recognized human rights in addressing the risk of adverse effects on the human rights linked to the company's business operations.
Public Policy Advocacy
This global policy regulates lobbying as well as political contributions on behalf of the company. The company did not engage in any direct political contributions, including ballot measures, 527 groups, 501(c)(4)s, or independent expenditures, in 2019, in the United States. The company currently files disclosure reports as per applicable law in the U.S. with the Clerk of the United States House of Representatives. Advancing Sustainability Through Our Products

At Ansys, we look for new and better ways to engineer what’s ahead. By focusing on creating new technology and improving current technology, we aim to support our customers in their design of products, including addressing issues related to making their products more efficient, with less waste, and minimizing physical prototyping.

Our people are at the core of driving product innovation for our customers. We aim to create a culture of belonging and inclusion where everyone can be themselves and thrive as a ONE Ansys team. We’re proud of our expert workforce and its ability to translate creativity and dedication into product innovation and operational excellence.

Operating Responsibly

We aim to reduce the environmental and climate impact of our operations by measuring, analyzing, and reducing our resource use and emissions. In 2022, we announced a target to reduce our scope 1 and scope 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 15% by 2027 against our 2019 baseline. We have made tremendous progress with our environmental sustainability strategy and exceeded our goal. Compared to our 2019 baseline, we have reduced our scope 1 and scope 2 market-based emissions by 42%.

We continue to engage with our stockholders, investors, customers, employees, communities, and other stakeholders through feedback, engagement surveys, and supporting the communities in which we live and work.
