ANSYS Listed On Software 500 Index For Sixth Consecutive Year

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- For the sixth consecutive year,Software Magazine ranked ANSYS (NASDAQ: ANSS) as one of the world's largest software companies in its index of software and services suppliers. This year's Software 500 index positioned ANSYS at 107th place in recognition of 2011 software and services GAAP revenue of $691.4 million.

The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world's largest software and services suppliers, targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers and business managers involved in software and services purchasing. This year's version is based on figures for total worldwide software and services revenues for the calendar year 2011, or closest fiscal year ending in 2011. Designed to assist software buyers, investors and stakeholders in their decisions, the index includes revenues from software licenses, maintenance and support, training and software-related services and consulting.
