Ansys Named A 2020 Women on Boards Winning Company

March 4, 2020

PITTSBURGH, March 4, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Ansys (NASDAQ: ANSS) has been recognized by 2020 Women on Boards, the premier global education and advocacy campaign committed to increasing the number of women on corporate boards, as a Winning "W" Company for having 20% or more board seats held by women. This is the first year Ansys has been recognized by 2020 Women on Boards for board diversity.

2020 Women on Boards is a non-profit grassroots campaign committed to increasing the percentage of women who serve on company boards to 20% or greater by 2020. Nearly one fourth of public companies in the U.S. have no female directors on their boards. Ansys' nine-member board includes three women.

"We are honored to receive the 2020 Women on Boards award. Diversity and inclusion are part of the core business values that have enabled us to build a winning culture," said Ron Hovsepian, chairman of the board at Ansys. "Embracing diversity at all levels of the organization provides us a broader perspective of business issues, challenges and solutions. We benefit from having three talented women on our board to provide their valuable perspectives and experiences."

"The business world is transforming board governance, and it's critical to recognize leading companies, including Ansys, that create a competitive advantage by having business-savvy women on their boards," said Betsy Berkhemer-Credaire, CEO of 2020 Women on Boards. "Even with the positive national momentum, U.S. companies are still a long way from gender balance in the boardroom but Ansys is paving the way."
